A walled compound. Closed to the rest of the world, open to the sea. Approach along the long wall from the road and pull in under the big overhang at the gatehouse. As you enter you pass through an open air tunnel between two huge tiered mounds of grass and plants. As the tunnel clears, the compound opens up to a stunning huge courtyard that splits into three paths. Straight ahead takes you through a meandering path to the beach.
To the right is the cooking and provisions building and the left path takes you around to the villas and huts and yurts. Every turn in the path is a reveal. Every twist in the path turns its back on the street but opens relentlessly towards the sea. Blocking out the cares of the world. At the beach, a straight row of raised symmetrical buildings flanking a central arched bar.
All buildings perched above breezeways so that the beach is visible at all times. The living huts are straight edged and almost Scandinavian in appearance. The bar Is all deco curves and bougainvillea.
